Sia,—In your issue of August 9th you state that when a man comes into his pension his wife will also qualify for pension. Is it not a great hardship that where the wife is the older it is likely that she will never benefit, since there is no payment until the husband is 65? Let it be borne in mind that perhaps most of those concerned are dependent upon pre-war incomes, and that very many are of a clam to which public
