At Leeds, on Wednesday, Mr. Churchill said that the estimates
for next year would be more than £30,000,000 higher than for the present year if economy did not come to the rescue. The increase was due to-policy whichhad been approved by Parliament. If it was not reduced - economy there would Kaye to be heavier taxation, which he would regard as disastrous. When Parliament met an economy Bill would be presented to modify certain legislative decisions which compelled expenditure. Every- thing would depend upon that.
