The result of the by-election in the Kirkdale Division of

Liverpool was announced on Wednesday night. Colonel Kyffin-Taylor, the Unionist candidate, was returned by a majority of 841 over his Labour opponent, Mr. A. G. Cameron. In 1910 the Unionist majority was 223. The greatly improved position of the Unionists is rendered the more significant by the fact that Mr. McArthur, the Member whose death caused the vacancy, was very well known and very popular in Liverpool:
