Sre,—From the description given of strange birds seen by two correspondents of yours, they are in all probability American robins. These birds are really members of the thrush family, and having been introduced into this country appear to be thriving. It will be interesting to see if they make the rapid progress of the little Spanish owl introduced some years ago in a like manner, and which has now taken its place as a useful resident species.—I am, Sir, &c., CHAR.
