Lord Cranborne's reply for the Government was not altogether a

success. He dismissed Mr. Dalton, who had referred to the Manchurian and Abyssinian disputes, as one who had gone to the library and " mugged up a lot of old stuff." If this kind of thing continues the language of diplomacy will soon be indistinguishable from the accents of Bertie Wooster.
