A CORRECTION.

rTo TIM EDITOR Of TUN SPECTZTOR1 Sia,—I notice in your last number that Mr. Wells. in his letter re oaks, reproduces that very common misquotation of Garrick's well-known patriotic song :— "Hearts of oak are our ships, Jolly tors are our men."

I regret to say I have even heard Mr. Santley sing it thus, It should, of course, be :— " Hearts of oak are our ships, Hearts of oak are our men."

The superior force and point of the repetition of " Hearts of oak" over the banal "Jolly tars" are obvious.—I am, Sir,
