MR. ASQUITH'S SPEECH.

SIR,—Surely Mr. Asquith was wrong in using, in his address at Edinburgh on Friday, the word " graze " as meaning to feed in a businesslike way, and the word " browse " to feed lightly or desultorily. The former I have always under- stood means to feed upon grass, and the latter to feed upon the tender ends of trees or shrubs, and this " Nuttall ' con-
