IN another part of our paper will be found a very sensible and well- written letter on a subject to which we have lately adverted—the salaries of Government civil servants. The writer signs himself " A Poor Revenue Officer:" assuredly the man who can write such a letter does not deserve to be poor. This is one of the mat- ters that must be thoroughly investigated in the new Parliament.
