Ireland goes on much as usual. To the Anti-Rent movement

is now added a potato-pillaging movement ; the peasantry assem- bling, in tumultuous numbers, and forcibly taking from the mid- dle classes their stores of potato. Several reverend gentlemen are sufferers in that way; and among them the parish-priests have not been spared. Tins is a very ugly feature of the new agitation.
