A telegraphic despatch from Southampton notifies the arrival of the

Hermann, from New York, which she left on the 9th instant. "The mail-steamer Crescent City was compelled to leave Havanah without landing passengers or mails. This has excited indignation in the United States."

A tremendous "indignation" meeting held in New Orleans had adopt- ed resolutions calling upon the Government to demand immediate satisfac- tion for this outrage on the American flag.
