[TO THE EDITOR OF THE "SpEcrerou."] SIR,—May I disclaim the distinction assigned me by your reviewer of being an Irishman ? I am proud of my Alma Mater, the "Silent Sister" of Cambridge and Oxford, but am English born and bred, unequal to the flow of soul characteristic of our fellow countrymen across the Irish Channel. Your notice of my book," Our Boys," both honours and helps me, if I may violate literary etiquette by so saying. The arduous work of schoolmastering needs, or at any rate is much the better and the happier for, such help.—I am, Sir, &c.,
