THE GREEN LADY HOSTEL.

[To THE EDITOR OP THE "SPECTATOR."] SIR, Will you kindly allow us to call your attention to the work being done by the Green Lady Hostel in providing holidays for those wage-earners, especially working girls, whose earnings da not allow a very wide margin for holiday-making ? It is ten years since the Hostel was opened, and at the present time we have only . .43800 to pay off the caiginal. mortgage.. With the exception of the interest on this mortgage and a small sum.for the necessary stand- ing expenses while the house is closed for the winter, the expenses are paid by the 600 or 100 visitors who use the Hostel. With the mortgage paid off and a, small capital of about £500 the house would be free of debt, a perpetual help to the self-respecting wage-earners who enthusiastically avail themselves of the advantages offered.—We are, Sir, &c.,
