SPECTATOR COMPETITION No. 167

Set by Allan M. Laing Probably about half the poems written by William Topaz McGonagall, the Sweet Singer of Dundee, were concerned with Royally ; and had he been alive this year he would certainly hare perpetrated a Coronation ode. Competitors are asked to submit 12 lines of the ode McGonagall would have composed.

Entries must be addressed to the Spectator, 99 Gower Street, W.C.1, in envelopes marked " Competition," and must be received not later than May 6th. Results will be published in the Spectator of May 15th.
