In Paris, Lord MELBOURNE'S observations on the conduct of the

French at Portendie, have been interpreted to mean something very serious; and the Opposition journals blame Marshal SOL:LT for sub- mitting to the " insolent audacity" of England. The French capi- tal is very dull. The King took his departure with his family, on Wednesday, to a country-scat at E.u, near Dieppe ; and the Duke and Dutchess of OuLEaxs are travelling in the South of France. They were tolerably well receiveti at Bordeaux ; though the Mayor, in his complimentary address, called the Duke's attention to the melancholy state of trade.
