IS HAEMOPHILIA SENSATIONAL? [To the Editor of THE SPECTATOR.] SIR, —I

have a very high regard indeed for the fairness and freedom from rancour which " Janus " usually displays in his weekly column or two, but I am afraid that his remarks about the death of Prince Gonzalo leave rather a nasty taste in my mouth.

In complimenting The Times on its achievement in not mentioning the disease from which this Prince suffered, why does he spoil his own reputation by pandering to the public's love of the sensational in describing at some length, haemophilia ? I trust that this fall from grace will not be

[Why anything so singularly interesting scientifically as the incidence of haemophilia should be considered sensational it is hard to imagine.—ED. The Spectator.]
