novel that gives new twist to old theme of corpse- in-the-library, for the library is a sort of public library plus, functioning on Mr. Dewey's decimal system of classification. Bland, in the English manner, with a likely and likeable heroine; good-humouredly inventive; and not unduly far-fetched.
