Murray had been called a fraud in the editorial columns of The Spectator, I should have had something to say about it. But now I find it quite unnecessary to comment.

Doubtless The Spectator as it now is appeals to a far greater number of readers than the old Spectator; doubtless you feel this to be a sign of progress.
