Irish minority

Sir, There are two facts which we continue to ignore about Ireland at our peril. One is that the Irish Protestant minority has every right to respect, equality and civil rights in Ireland, but not to a separate state. Two is that we have no right to interfere in the affairs of another nation. One day both these facts will have to be faced squarely, otherwise the bigoted and psychopathic element amongst the Irish Protestants will drag us all into some quite unnecessary disaster.
