Church Students' Manual. By the Rev. C. H. Bromby, M.A.,

Prin- cipal of the Normal College, Cheltenham. (A. and C. Black.)—This small volume is, in fact, a third edition, remodelled chiefly by the omis- sion of two chapters of especially controversial character, of a former work by the same author, entitled "Liturgy and Church History." It con- sists of two parts, the first of which is devoted to a detailed analysis of the principle portions of the Book of Common Prayer, and the second to brief historical sketches of the Early Church and of the English Church. Mr. Bromby insists especially on the fact that the English Church has a distinct existence, entirely independent of the Church of Rome. The book is carefully executed, and is, we think, likely to be useful for the educational purposes for which it is designed.
