The Elementary School Manager, by Hugo R. Rue-Wiggin and Alfred

Percival Graves (Isbister), is an excellent and comprehen- hensive manual, which should be of much help to managers, in the first place, and to teachers, in the second. Among the interesting chapters is one on mixed schools. We are inclined to think that these might advantageously be instituted, not merely as a necessity, but as a matter of choice. Schools occupied in common, and separate play-grounds, would make, we believe, an excellent arrangement.
