The Motor Maniac. By Mrs. Edward Kennard. (Hutchinson and Co.

6s.)—Like some other motor-car novels, Mrs. Kennard's book is fairly good, though with a tendency to a caricature, even when it deals exclusively with cars. When, however, it becomes a novel it is not very well worth reading. Motor enthusiasts who like even their fiction to be coloured with their particular taste will doubtless enjoy the talk of belts, speeds, makes of car, &c., but readers who do not possess an automobile will be merely exasperated by the book.
