Tamworth inaugurated a statue to the late Sir Robert Peel

yester- day, in the Market Place, in the presence of Sir Robert Peel and Mr. Frederick Peel ; who both addressed the people present. The statue is the work of Mr. Noble, and is said to be a good likeness of its great ori- ginal. Mr. Frederick Peel, indeed, pointed out that there was sonnthice'e wanting—that the soul and spirit of the man were not there. But he testified that " in general outline, correctness of proportion, and in the ease and gracefulness of the posture," Mr. Noble had been successful.
