The Register of Tonbridge School, 1820-93, edited by W. 0.

Hughes-Hughes, M.A. (Bentley and Son), is a volume that speaks for itself. The editor prefixes a brief introduction, in which he sketches the history of the school since its foundation about the middle of the sixteenth century (the precise date is not clearly ascertained). He does not mention, we see, the curious recent episode of a held-master will was elected and resigned within the space of a week.
