Interviews. By Raymond Blathwayt. (A. W. Hall.)—Mr. Blathwayt carries the

art of interviewing to a high pitch of per- fection. Apparently, he studies the special subject of every celebrity with whom he converses, just as an advocate gets up scientific or mechanical matters for the conduct of a case. The consequence is that we hear a little of some fifty authors, preachers, politicians, and a good deal about Mr. Blathwayt. The book is entertaining. We censure the interviewer, but read him ; "in civitate nostra culpa.bitur et retinebitur."
