Glands in Health and Disease. By Dr. Benjamin Harrow. (Routledge.

8s. 6d.) Glands in Health and Disease. By Dr. Benjamin Harrow. (Routledge. 8s. 6d.) "Journalism " in medical science is nearly always out of place, and we fear that in writing this book Dr. Harrow is not quite guiltless of a solecism. Science-without-tears is all very well in its way ; but a highly specialized branch of physiology such as Endocrinology is unsuitable for such treatment. For a proper understanding of this subject a grasp of general physiology is essential ; and those possessed of such would do well to consult more " scientific ' works. However, the layman who has had his curiosity stimulated by articles in the daily Press might do worse than slake his thirst for endocrinological knowledge at Dr. Harrow's fountain.
