Two picture-sales of some mark take place today. Messrs. Foster

and Son sell a number of Italian, Flemish, Dutch, and French pictures, from the collections of the Earl of Coventry, Lord Somerville, Sir Thomas Baring, and Mr. Lake ; including a fine though exaggerated Holy Fa- mily by Andrea del Sarto, Rubens's Lion and Tiger Hunt, and portrait of his wife and child, two very admirable companion-portraits by Gerard Terburg, and examples of Correggio, Vandyck, Cuyp, Claude, &e.

Messrs. Christie and Manson include with many works of the late Mr. Hollins, two fine early marine Turners, Herbert's Acquittal of the Seven Bishops, Poole's Bower of Bliss, some well-known Diuthys, and a portrait of Walter Scott, and the Oberon and Titania, by Maclise.
