The house of Messrs. Baring, Brothers, have concluded with the

State of South Carolina a loan of 500,000/, to bear five per cent. , interest ; but the price at which it has been negotiated has not yet transpired. The Mississippi State has made a loan of '230,0UOL , which , has been taken by various contractors. The principal and interest are payable ut the agency of the bank of the United States in London. It is a five per cent. loan ; and it is said to have been taken at 93, with interest from the 1st instant. There has, in fact, been an unusual amount of business transacted lately in the securities of the various states of the American Union.
