LORD DURHAM'S APPOINTMENTS.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE SPECTATOR.

Slit—An error occurred in the printing of my last letter, which affects the mooring of the whole. I stated " that it was unfortunate, that when a whole people were loudly complaining of our Colonial system, as subjecting their des- tinies to the control of men whom the public could not honour, so striking an instance was recklessly afforded of the truth of their complaint." The word " honour" was changed to "know." N•DV the fact i., the public do know the persons appointed by Lord DUnHAM, but cannot honour them.
