" PLAY THE GAME."

Pro TRH EDITOR. OP Ins " Senerrnes."1

Ent,—As you kindly open your columns to those in search of quotations, will you help me to find some one who can render into Latin, in two or three words, the old cricket adjuration "Play the Gaine." I have had several suggestions from scholars amongst my own friends—one consisting of several lines being too clumsy, and another, " Lade Ludum "—from a very eminent scholar—seems not to meet the ease. I am not a scholar myself, but it seems to me that " Lnde Ludum " could mean only " Play a game "—which ie a very different thing from " Play the game."—I ani, Sir, &c., NIEGIET.
