Myth and reality

Sir: Your television column on 27 August was aptly headed 'Mythical'. Firstly, Dr. Stafford-Clark is not a psychologist. He was a consultant psychiatrist at Guy's Hospital. Secondly, he did not give advice about the questions John Freeman put to the people appearing in Face to Face.

There was one occasion when a Jungian psychiatrist was consulted before a programme. Dr Anthony Storr's advice was sought by us before we filmed with Professor Jung in Switzerland.
