The Pre - Raphaelite Brotherhood. By Ford 'Wades Hueffer. (Duckworth and Co.

2s.)—Since Mr. Holman Hunt's Memoirs have been published there is not much new to be said on the subject of the origin of the "Brotherhood." Mr. Hueffer tells the story of the movement in an interesting manner, and, rightly we think, adds a description of the work of Madox Brown. This remarkable man was never a member of the "Brotherhood"; but his aims were so much in sympathy with theirs, and his connexion with them so close, that to leave him out of any general account of this group of painters would have been a mistake.
