One great advantage about this book is that the diagrams

of muscles are large enough to be clear, and are drawn with decision and intelligence. The explanatory text is also easy to read and understand, and the book a decidedly helpful one. It is a pity that the drawings of the human figure, apart from the diagrams of muscles, are not better, and their weakness and indecision are emphasized by the reproduction of several drawings by Michelangelo. It is unfortunate that no use has been made of photographs from the living model to show the relation of structure and appearance.
