Some fresh commercial difficulties are reported from Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Letters from Glasgow mention that the National Exchange Company is about to wind up its affairs. Its capital was 200,0001., and its depwits 119,0001.

The Ayrshire Iron Company's affairs were submitted, on Wednesday, to a meet- ing convened for the purpose. The debts were stated to amount to 236,71W, while the assets were only estimated at 155,8721, leaving a deficiency of 80,8471. The conduct of the directors was strongly denounced; the chairman characterizing the system pursued as the most disgraceful which had occurred in the annals of joint stock companies. It was finally agreed that every effort should be made by the shareholders to carry out the terms which had been acceded to by the credi- dere, namely, a payment of 10s. in the pound on the 15th of January, and bills for the remainder at six and twelve months; and 91,0001. having been already sub- scribed for this object, an adjournment until the 6th of January was agreed to, when it is expected the entire arrangements will be completed.
