Mks Agnes Anderson has written a personal war history of

a rather new sort. This time the subject of the biography is a Q.M.A.A.C. ("Johnnie." Heath Cranton. 6s.)—" Johnnie" was a Scotch girl brought up in a strict and very religious household. She did not, however, react from this atmosphere but remained a very charming, genuinely religious, if slightly sentimental character. The little book, though not put together by a particularly expert hand, will give the reader access to an odd little reach of the River of Life with which he is nearly certain to be unfamiliar.
