SIR,- "Special Areas" are occupying the minds of all thoughtful people at the present time. r shall be glad,' therefore, if you will allow me to call the attention of your readers to a very practical way of giving help.

The miners' womenfolk make lovely Quilting in traditional designs ; these and other handicrafts in wrought iron, wood, pottery, Lin., make useful and beautiful Christmas presents.
