Tin QUEEN held a Court and Privy Council at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. At the Court, M. Musurus, Turkish Ambassador, had an audience of the Queen and delivered a letter from the Sultan. Lord John Russell, Earl Granville, Mr. Sidney Herbert, and Lord Palmerston, had audience. At the Privy Council Mr. Hutt was sworn in and de- clared by her Majesty to be 'Vice-President of the Board of Trade. On Thursday her Majesty held the second levee of the season at St. James's Palace.

Her Majesty has visited the Haymarket, Olympic, and Covent Garden Theatres, and the studio of Mr. Theed the sculptor. The list of guests at Buckingham Palace includes the names of the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of Newcastle, Earl Cawdor, and Sir George and Lady Grey.
