Mayne Reid. (Swan Sonnenschein and Co. 2s. 6d.)—This is the story of an excellent young man who in a misguided moment married an elderly adventuress, and was wretched ever after. Mrs. Mayne Reid has handled this hackneyed subject with a certain freshness, but her disregard of grammar is jarring.
