to the best essay on "The Law of Property" in various ages and countries. Ireland was a singularly appropriate country to select, as of late years its "land tenure" has become a burning ques- tion. Mr. Montgomery has a thorough command of the subject, and has expressed himself very clearly on the whole. "Land- Tenure in Ireland" is most exhaustive for its size, and we must add, too, most interesting reading.
