THE FINANCIAL OUTLOOK.

Concerning the general monetary and financial outlook, Mr. Goodenough was fairly hopeful, expressing his opinion as to the likelihood of somewhat easier monetary conditions in the immediate future, though at the same time he pointed out that some allowance must be made for the after-effect of the losses incurred on the other side of the Atlantic in connexion with the recent slump in Wall Street.
