The Leeds Mercury reports that 4,025 families in Leeds, one-fifth

of the population, are now dependent on parochial relief. The Stockport Chronicle states that the pauperism in that town is increasing ! De- legates from the manufacturing districts were received at a meeting of Dissenting ministers in London, yesterday ; and a Provisional Com- mittee was appointed to prepare some public movement.
