Baboo Jaberjee, B.A. By F. Anstey. (J. M. Dent and

Co.)—In this volume is republished a series of papers which every one will remember to have read and laughed over in Punch. We must own that they are less amusing when they are thus presented to us en masse than they were when we had them piecemeal. In Punch we readily admit they seemed equal to anything ever done by Mr. Anstey, and than this we could hardly give higher praise The Baboo English, admirably done as it is, wearies one when it is read page after page, and there is a certain distaste (which, how- ever, every one will not share) to the perpetual recurrence of follies and blunders even in the silliest of heroes.
