ARMY AND NAVY STORES.

As usual, the Annual Meeting of the Army and Navy Stores was rendered of particular interest by the excellent character of the Speech delivered by the Chairman, Brigadier-General Sir- Frederick Gascoigne. The report itself was a good one, showing further moderate progress both as regards business turnover and profit earning power, while in accordance with his usual custom Sir Frederick gave the shareholders the fullest information with regard to the working of the Company's business, not the least interesting feature of which is the obvious good relations between the management and the staff, and the successful efforts of the Company to keep fully abreast of all the demands of the present day public.
