A late arrival from Canada brings an account of the

pro- rogation of the Parliament of Upper Canada, by Csovernor HEAD. The only business of the brief and extraordinary session was the passing of a law to suspend specie payments, and to authorize the Governor to issue paper in the shape of de- bentures, for the construction of roads and other national works.

By the same vessel, we learn that the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick had passed a bill for the "support of the civil government of the province," in conformity with the terms sent out by Lord GLENE La ; who. on the part of the Crown, surrendered the casual and territorial revenues of the province to the Legis- lature.
