I grieve to say that the Tolley--Denis Johnston play, Blind Mare's Buff, meant little to me but a most improbable trial scene. Badger's ,Green, Mr. R. C. Sherriff's village-and-cricket play, went unpreten- tiously well. The radio version of the revue Sauce Tartare seemed to lack the sparkle of the footlights.
