Sia,—In the Spectator of the 19th inst. I find it stated that, speaking last week, I talked of the inundation of the Alps by women "over six feet high." Will you allow me to say that this is quite erroneous. I said nothing whatever about women over six feet high, and in no way referred to, or endeavoured to estimate, the stature of female tourists in the Alps.—I am,
