Shin Fein incendiaries were at work in the outer suburbs

of Manchester last Saturday. They set fire to the stackyards at ten farms in different- districts and eaused damage to the 'extent of £20,000. It is presumed that the Shin Feiners wanted the passports for their own use, and also wished to discourage the emigration of young 'Irishmen who are' leaving in their hundreds for America.
