Sir: I hope it is not nit-picking to point out that the number of people who die every day in Britain is roughly double that of 890 given by Auberon Waugh in Another voice (19 February). Maybe he thinks women don't count, or, more likely, he was looking at the wrong column in his Whittaker's Almanack.
