St. Thomas's Priory. By Joseph Gillow. (Burns and Oates.)— This

volume contains a record of the ministry carried on by missioners of the Roman Catholic faith at Stafford between the Reformation and the present time. The writer's intention, one altogether to be praised, is "to awaken in the congregation an interest in the story of how their forefathers handed down to them the teaching of their Redeemer." Mr. Gillow's views of these matters are not altogether the same as ours, but we welcome this or any attempt to record the labours of devoted men.
