[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] Srn,—We are a curious people. What we worshipped we have burned. What we burned, we worship. We throw away the victory won by the blood of our sons. We take our enemies at home and abroad to our hearts. We desert our Loyalists. We feast our law breakers. We welcome our Socialists. We honour the Father of the House who has grown grey in their service. Surely for these things we shall be brought into judgment l—I am, Sir, &c.,
