Trees in Prose and Poetry. Compiled by Gertrude L. Stone

and M. Grace Pickett. (Gina and Co. 2e.)—This is a book of extracts from various authors about trees. The trees are arranged in families. After some " General Selections," we have in suc- cession "The Horse-Chestnut Family," "The Maple Family," "The Rose Family," in which the rose itself does not appear, not ranking as a tree, we suppose, and "The Olive Family." It is a good idea, well carried out.
